15:00 Call to Order by President: President Tsuchihashi called the 154th regular meeting to order.  She said that she was happy to have three guests.  and she introduced them.

15:10 Thought of the Day: TM Nagasaki- People say many things.  However, we can’t say what we want to say.  Even so, we need to give our opinion.

 Speaker 1: TM Ikeda
  (Pathways, persuasive Influence, Ice Breaker, 4-6 min)
Title: My Speech Chronicle
It was his first speech in this club.  He reviewed his 15-year experience as a speaker for his restart.
Speech activity has always given him time to struggle but it also has given him opportunities of improvement and bonds with friends.

 Speaker 2: TM Ando      
  (AD30, Public Relations, 5 the Crisis Management Speech, 4-5 min, Q&A 3-5min)    
Title: A press conference of apology 
Her speech was for acquiring a skill to handle a company crisis.
She explained the cause of the accident and future measures in detail at the press conference to show the sincerity of the company.
She also answered questions from the media trying not to leave an unfavorable impression about the company.

Speaker 3: TM S. Nagano   
(Contest speech, English, 5-7min)     

15:43  Timer’s Report & Vote: Every speaker was qualified.  Since there were less than three speakers(TM S. Nagano’s contest speech was not counted as a FS), the vote was not taken.

During the session, TM Tsuchihashi had the participants make speeches.  The list of speakers and topics were as follows:

Speaker 1: TM Nagasaki- You are a professor at Kochi University of Technology.  Tell us about the good points of your students?
Speaker 2: TM Y. Nagano- You live close to the Kagami River. Why the river is important for Kochi citizens.
Speaker 3: Mr. Kida- What is your favorite izakaya in Shimanto Town?
Speaker 4: TM K. Kitaoka- You are going to work for a brand new and huge hospital, Kochi Red Cross Hospital, in April.  If you were Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, what would you do?
Speaker 5: TM Hayashi- Recommend your favorite place to relax.
Speaker 6: TM S. Nagano- If a lot of foreigners rush into the NIA Japanese language class this April, what would you do?
Speaker 7: TM Ikeda- Your store in Akaoka has a beautiful facility for entertainment.  If you could use it one day freely, what would you do?
Speaker 8: TM Ando- (TTM guesses) You work most of your time in the mountains.  Which mountain do you like the best?
Speaker 9: Mr. Mori- Recommend the best place to visit in Kochi City.
Speaker 10: Ms. C. Kitaoka- Can you live without your smartphone?  And if you can’t, why?
Speaker 11: TM K. Kitaoka- If you can go to school again to learn something useful for your life, what would it be?

16:53 Announcement by President: 
  1. Area 72 Speech Contest is scheduled on March 17 in Matsuyama.  Two Judges and a Timer are required.  If there are any volunteers, let her know.
  2. An ohanami party will be held at Kochi Castle garden, not in the building, after 155 regular meeting in March.  She will order lunch boxes, and the attendees need to bring their drinks.
  3. April meeting date is changed from April 27 to April 20.
