Call to Order by President: President Tsuchihashi called the 157th
regular meeting to order. She said that she went to a Japanese language
class a few weeks ago for the first time. And it showed her an unknown
world. She announced the results of 2019 District 76 Annual
Conference. She then learned how speech titles are important..
She asked guests to introduce themselves and they did.

TM Kunisawa- She said that she visited Okinawa, where she experienced
its beautiful nature, delicious food, people’s kindness etc. Then she
realized what “Once in a life time” meant.

She talked about her husband’s disease and she shared the importance of taking medicine properly.

Title: Making the Most of a New Era
This
project was a talk show between TM S. Nagano, the interviewer, and TM
Tomonaga, the guest of the talk show . TM S. Nagano asked TM Tomonaga
about her changing job. And she came to know that TM Tomonaga fulfilled
her dream and would play an active role in this new era.

Speaker 3: TM Kida= Which do you prefer traveling by car or train?
Speaker 4: TM Hayashi= What do you think about the golden-week this year?

5: TM Ikeda= Recently someone won a lottery of 2.8 billion yen in
Kochi. Nobody knows who that person was. Is it possible that you are
that guy?

8: TM Nagasaki= There are four main islands in Japan. Four islands
already have Shinkansen but our Shikoku island doesn't have yet. What
do you think about that?

Officer Elections: TM Ando, a club officers nominations committee
member, confirmed with Secretary if the number of attendees was achieved
a quorum (51 percent of active members). Secretary TM S. Nagano said
yes. TM Ando asked if there was anyone else who wanted to serve as one
of the seven officers. There were none.
Kochi Toastmasters Club officers (2019-2020) were selected as follows. The installation ceremony will be held on July 20th.
