Summary: “I don't divide the world into the weak and the strong, or the successes and the failures, those who make it or those who don't. I divide the world into learners and non-learners.”
- Benjamin R. Barber
As an educator, I have taught for more than 30 years. I didn't mean to teach in order to divide the world into the weak and the strong, the successes of the failures, winners or losers. I would like my students to become life-longer learners, who knows the joy of learning.

15:20
Formal Speech Session

Speaker 1:
TM Kida (Pathways, Researching and presenting Level 1 project)

Title: Defeat the Rifujin - Rifujin, Power harassment and Angermanagement

Summary: I discussed what I learned from the book written by Hirao, using the key words: power harassment and anger management. I consider Rifujin will be a growing experience. It should not be always interpreted as power harassment. Let’s mature with Rifujin through positive Anger management. When you give someone Rifujin, you should be very careful, because Rifujin which will make negative effect is just a power harassment.

Title: My Preferred Communication Style

Summary: There are four styles of communication introduced in the Toastmasters textbook. To find out which communication style suits me the best, I tried all the styles to motivate committee members at work. I discovered that I am good at using the Direct Communication style.
