15:03; Greetings By the Toastmaster of the meeting, TM Hayashi:
I am honored to be here, I am TM Hayashi. I want you all to remember this club`s motto because I think it is important: To be powerful, enjoyable and variable. We will have a drinking party in Obiyamachi after the meeting, I hope you will attend. A toastmaster`s meeting is divided into three parts: Table Topics, Formal Speeches and the Evaluation Session.

15:10; Table Topics Session presided by TM Nagasaki: TM Nagasaki decided to prepare everyone for the upcoming Table Topics Contest by having them get into groups of 4. In their group each person was asked to speak for up to two minutes on a topic that was given by the Table Topics Master. After each person had spoken, the other members of the group would give feedback for another two minutes. One person in the group was also designated as the leader and would take notes and report to the person what they had said.
15:50; Formal Speech Session presided by TM Hayashi:
-TM Hayashi was not giving a speech but instead completing Project #10 of the Specialty Speeches: Introduce the Speaker.
-TM Miyoshi did her Icebreaker Speech in which she talked about her husband and his love for a strange form of Ikebana: I am very happy to be here. I`ve talked about myself in the past so now I want to talk about my husband. We met at Kochi University in chorus club. He likes painting, listening to music and photography. He practices a form of ikebana without flowers. He believes that every living thing including flowers has a spirit. When we kill a flower, we also kill that spirit. We must instead practice empty-mindedness and connect with the spirit of the flower.
-TM Wong gave his 3rd speech in the AC Manual “The Entertaining Speaker”. The goal of the speech was “To Make Them Laugh”. In his speech he talked about a strange hobby. We now return to another exciting episode of “An Interview with Myself”. My strange hobby is I like to find fear. I am scared of heights but I do rock climbing. I don`t like roller coasters because I don`t like surprises when they involve not knowing a metallic vehicle will suddenly drop.
-TM Tsuchihashi did the same speech project as TM Wong but instead of talking about a strange hobby, she talked about her experience learning how to sing. She learned that passion goes beyond techniques through music lessons. She also found ways to be an impressive speaker and to gain Distinguished Club points.
